One of the hallmarks of Camp Lavi’s success is the high percentage of returning adult staff members who have been affiliated with the camp throughout the years. All specialty areas are supervised by adult staff members who have honed their skills so that our campers can reap the full benefit of the “Lavi” experience.

Rabbi Michael Reichel:
Rabbi Michael Reichel, our Assistant Director, brings years of experience as an educator to this important position. He has been a teacher and most recently, the Principal of the middle school of the prestigious North Shore Hebrew Academy. His camping experience encompasses years both as a camper and staff member at sleepaway camp. He began his career at Lavi as a member of the Athletics staff before assuming his current role as the camp's Assistant Director. His wife Atara is the head of our girls sports program.

Ronnie Becher:
Our Program Director, Ronnie Becher comes to Lavi with a wealth of camping experience as a camper and staff member at Massad Aleph subsequently becoming its Head Counselor. A valued staff member at Lavi since 1994, Ronnie's creativity and enthusiasm have been instrumental in developing the many innovative and exciting programs which have become synonymous with Camp Lavi.
